Arthur Turner was born in Houston, Texas in 1940, where he currently lives and works.  He received a Master of Fine Arts degree from Cranbrook Academy of Art, Bloomfield Hills, Michigan in 1966 and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Texas, Denton in 1962.  His work has been shown in numerous exhibitions both nationally and internationally.  Turner’s work is also part of the permanent collections of The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, the Museum of Southeast Texas, Beaumont, the McNay Art Museum, San Antonio, as well as private and corporate collections.  In 2020 Turner had a solo exhibition at The Glassell School of Art, The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, where he taught watercolor for fifty years.  He has been represented by Moody Gallery since it opened in 1975.
